The last thing a bride ever wanted on their outdoor wedding day is the gloomy day, rain, or a tsunami warning (the unpredictable one!). However, this is not the case for newlywed Jason and Molly Mesnick! The couple actually enjoyed it as the rain brings good luck to their marriage (with beautiful rainbow during their wedding day!). What a blessing for the newlywed!
Despite of the downpour, the lovebirds happily exchanged vows in front of their friends and family at Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA on February 27, 2010. Wedding Planner, Jo Gartin of Love Luck and Angels, coordinated with Event Designer, Eden Rodriguez of End Design, prepared a green and white theme garden ceremony for Molly and Jason. They were married under a dome-like tree branches and driftwood canopy which decked with a lot of white lilies and orchids. Different heights of cylinder glasses lined along the aisle and guests were seated on all-white benches.
Two beautiful moments I love the most:
1- Molly wore her Monique Lhuillier strapless gown, carried a cascading bouquet of white phalaenopsis orchids, and walked down the aisle on the arm of her father to the song "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" played by former American Idol contestant, Jason Castro.
(The song title matches the day very much; rainbow was showing her beautiful moment while Molly walking down the aisle to meet her groom.)
2- The release of white doves at the end of their wedding ceremony. That's lovely and the scene is serene!

- Think it is wasteful to use a large amount of flowers for wedding decorations?
Absolutely not. You can always donate the floral arrangement at your wedding to local nursery centers. Also, you may make full use of your bridesmaid bouquets by rearranging them in vases as centerpieces at the reception. Yet another option is to double the wedding favors as centerpieces or replace the use of place cards! Just like the following wedding:

- Think it costs more for organic flowers?
Probably not. Farmers market is a good place to start your research. Often times, the purveyors at the market are the owners of the farms/orchards and you should be able to negotiate a good deal with them when you are buying in bulk (even if you do not buy in bulk, you can still negotiate a slight price deduction from them! Never ask, never know!).
Because they (flowers) are locally grown, you may pick up the flowers on your own and eliminate the extra delivery fees. Saving you another hundred bucks! ^.*

Get flowers from local farmers who cultivate the plants naturally without pesticides and any synthetic fertilizers.
