For all French epicureans and dessert-lovers out there, I am sure you have heard and tasted the macarons. It is a traditional round meringue-like dome with a flat base French pastry made of egg whites, almond powder, icing sugar, and sugar.
The colorful eye candy macarons by the famous French Laduree Bakery were featured in Marie Antoinette (2006 film). Marie Antoinette is a biographical film written and directed by Sofia Coppola. It illustrated the life of the French Queen in the years leading up to the French Revolution. Below are some photos from the film found at Ann Mah's Journalism and Food Blog.
If you are a bride/groom who wants something special and different than a cake, I will say go for a macarons wedding tower! Furthermore, you have the choice to choose any flavors and colors that match your wedding colors! Let's see some inspirations from Amour Amour and Laduree below.
